Ramblings

Imagine that familiar sound of Charlie Brown (or any of the Peanuts gang for that matter) when they are supremely frustrated by something.

Yes that sound.

I just made it. Almost out loud, but VERY loud in my head. Tom Fulery is no longer in 2nd place in Google search results as stated in the post titled “Jesus Amado!!!

I must re-double my efforts (what’s two times zero, again?!). This blog is like in 6th(ish) place as of this post. Kuh-rap! Unacceptable. I’ll speak no more of my ranking until I’m number one.

Abstruse Certainty is now in the TF Blogroll. Woot!

Praise the Lord. Tom Fulery is back! After much fraying of the nerves, gnashing of the teeth and pissing of the off… I’ve been able to access my beloved blog again. Ay caramba, what a pain in the arse. Because I’m a certified genius (or just certifiable) when I created this blog in WordPress, I thought… I’ll make something totally different for my username and password. The blog is a departure from the normal doings and goings-on in my life so LOGICALLY, so should my UN and PW, right?

Right?

Oh… not right. Now I see.

The end of mankind will come in the over-reliance on computers to save our UNs and PWs (”OF COURSE, I’ll remember them too… just using the save feature on my browser for CONVENIENCE”). Lessen learned.

After weeks of typing in all kinds o’ UN/PW combos and later UN/email combos I finally hit on the right combination that sent and email to one of my addresses and allowed me to reset my password to something new.

Now I can get back to annoying you all with Foolish Fotos and Silly Polls and Ramblings. If I get one semi-smile outta all the rolled-eyes, it’ll be worth it. I live for those moments.

New rules round these parts. Foolish Foto of the Week will now appear on Fridays instead of Thursdays and the Poll will no longer be weekly. It’ll appear when it appears and won’t be based on the “Only Two Kinds” model (I reserve the right to occassionally use that model, however).

Please feel free to link to this blog, Facebook me (or MySpace/Orkut/TweezleJam me (or whatever you kids are doing these days)), StumbleUpon me and/or create a entry for me in WikiPedia (Goldstar and 100 points to whomever accomplishes that feet).

My heart and blog are always open and any links to me will (within reason) be reciprocated. I’ll even have a “new blogroll” post when new links are added. You’ll be almost famous!

My goal is to get to the top of the Google results for a search for Tom Fulery. I’m stuck at number two right now. But all your links and FaceBookin’ will get me there. I’ll be almost famous!

Now that I have access to the blog again… I can update regularly and links from the blogroll will actually have meaning and carry weight. Woo hoo.

All this just because I was able to reset my Username and Password to….

ah crap.

Adobe CS3 is almost here.

Yes, I know it’s been out for a while, but our copy here at the company was mailed to an old address. D’oh!

DHL contacted us and will be delivering the package today or tomorrow. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. God, I am such a dork.

TK-421… why aren’t you at your POST? TK-421… do you copy?! (The rest of the conversation as seen Director’s Cut: “Man, I hope TK-421 has a good excuse for leaving his post… If the Postmaster General finds out… he’s doomed.”)

Logo: Star Wars and The Unites States Postal Service

The post office is having a little vote to see which of 15 proposed Star Wars stamps will get a little extra love and be released on its own… not just as part of the 15-stamp set.

Everyone can vote (once a day if I’m not mistaken), so get to it!

Vote for your favorite Star Wars Stamp HERE.

Stamp collectors and Star Wars Fans uniting… man, Triumph would have a field day with this dorktacular marriage!

Go vote. You know you want to….

Dork.

(No need to deny it… I know you’re one… we can smell our own kind)

Where’s the winner of the FFOTW, you ask? Well, as evidenced by the fact that it is 80 degrees and yet I felt the need to put on a second sweater and drink some hot chocolate… I am not well.

The Dark Cloud: No FFOTW nor Haiku Poll last week.

Silver Lining: Extra time to get your caption (or second or third one) in for the Chewbacca foto.

— Tom (and my faithful companion, achoo)

Today while out running errands, I was starving and stopped by my local Chipotle to grab a tasty burrito. Being alone, and hating to be idle while eating in public (yes, I know I have problems)… I brought in my neighborhood newspaper. With my trusty burrito in hand, I perused the paper and stumbled across another of my “problems”… sudoku. Love that crap. Here’s where the dilemma began. I had no writing utensil… and no patience to wait until eating then getting back to the office to do the sudoku (plus once back in the office, I have work to do… can’t waste time doing puzzles). So I looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to me, and pulled a MacGyver.

The formula for what transpired:

The proof:

How does a fool begin? Like that I guess. Now that that’s over with… Hello. Welcome. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I’m Thomas J. Fulery… more affectionately known as Tom Fulery. Yes I know that it’s unbelievable that someone could be named that… but believe me, like most of you, my parents, not me, chose my name. I’ve grown to like it over the years, so I’m quite cool with it. I went to high school with an Anthony Hopkins, an Andy Garcia, a Charles Brown and an Amy Fisher (remember that name?). Serious… so I’m in good company when it comes to being asked, “Is that REALLY your name?” Anyways enough about that, if you want to know more about me, check out my profileNew Page. What this blog’s about it just what the title suggests. Mostly ramblings that mean very little (or less) to anyone, but I’ll have a few regular features, notably the Foolish Foto of the Week and segment I like to call “Two Kinds”… check ‘em out and check back weekly for the updates.

Wish me luck.

Foolishly,

Tom
